Iditarod 2009: Aliy's In "Good Company" In Nikolai

As you can see, Aliy has just pulled into Nikolai! At this early stage of the race, the mushers' "positions" are really not a very useful basis for evaluation. You can't tell how much total rest they've taken, where they are compared to their strategies, etc. What is a more useful basis for evaluation -- at least in my opinion -- is the "company" they are keeping. So, I think it's fair to say that one look at the list will give you a pretty good idea of how Aliy is doing! Way to go, Aliy!... Keep yourself in "good company"!
